SELF-CARE RETREAT

self-care retreat.png

Most of us spend hundreds of hours each year tending to, caring for, shuttling around, and worrying about our child or young adult with issues.

But do you spend even one hour a day on self-care? Do you exercise regularly? Get together with friends? Practice mindfulness?

One of our longtime Family Sanity members Shelley Karpaty (aka Spicy Soul Mama) who is the parent of a young adult with psychosis, now living in a version of recovery, wants to share what has helped her with us.

Her website is: https://shelleydurgakarpaty.substack.com/

This July 19 we are planning a special full day retreat entitled A Day to Breathe in Sonoma where she will lead us in meditation and journaling and more. The event will be followed by a leisurely wine country luncheon.
