The schools for teens category includes boarding schools, therapeutic schools and residential treatment programs. Many of them offer some combination of these characteristics. It will be worth the time and effort it takes to explore the many options that are available, so you can find the school that will be the best fit for your son or daughter.
You may want to enlist an Educational Consultant to help.

Also, since most private programs are very expensive, we are highlighting the programs that may be lower cost,often because they are at least partially paid for by public funding or a religious institution. In some cases the schools/programs are free if your child does not have private health insurance or your family income is below a certain threshold.

Note on Sober Living :
A sober living program may be a good choice for a young adult if s/he is suffering from substance abuse or has a dual diagnosis (addiction and a mental health condition).
In California, there are a plethora of such residential programs in the Los Angeles area.
They are often lower cost than traditional rehab programs. Some are run by religious organizations. It may be worthwhile to research some of these for your adult child.
